B.C. partner institutions
B.C. public post-secondary institutions establish partnerships with post-secondary institutions around the world to offer study abroad programs to their students. Students may also be eligible for certain study abroad programs offered by other B.C. institutions at which they are not enrolled.
Students should contact their academic department or study abroad office to find out which study abroad programs are currently offered, and where they are located.
Other institutions abroad
Students who wish to study at institutions which their home institution in B.C. does not have an established partnership with, should contact their academic advisor and/or study abroad officer for assistance in identifying an appropriate institution.
Many institutions in other countries have websites that provide detailed information about programs offered. Institutions in countries where English is not an official language might offer an English translation of their main website content.
To find out about other countries’ post-secondary education systems, contact their embassies or consulates in B.C. and elsewhere in Canada for further information. Information is also available through the government departments responsible for post-secondary education in those countries.
Country profiles
The Consular Affairs Bureau at Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada maintains Country Profiles on its website. This website contains an extensive list of countries and provides facts, maps, statistics and insights for each country.
Co-op and internship programs
Students should contact their study abroad or co-op coordinator for further information on these programs.
