Read More >> What's NewThe 2012/2013 StudentAid BC online and paper application for full-time studies and the paper application for part-time studies (for classes starting between August 1, 2012 and July 31, 2013) will be available in early June. Education is more affordable for part-time students Beginning January 1, 2012 new and existing loans for part-time students will no longer be charged interest while borrowers are in-study. Once this change takes effect, interest will only begin to accumulate on the loan upon graduation, or after leaving school. For more information visit the Canlearn website. Changes to student loans for BC Students No more managing two student loans Managing student loans is about to get easier for borrowers from British Columbia (BC). The governments of Canada and BC are integrating their full time student financial assistance programs - Canada Student Loans and StudentAid BC - to simplify the borrowers' experience. There's no change to the administration of Canada Student Loans and Grants for part-time students. For more information, click here. Important notice: Changes to your student loan agreements If you received B.C. student loans after August 1, 2000 and you have NOT received further student loan funding after August 1, 2011, there have been changes to your loan agreement, and new B.C. legislation that will impact you.
