Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation Bursary

The Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation was established in 1998 by the Government of Canada to contribute to post-secondary education by increasing student access while reducing student debt. The foundation bursary awards are based on a combination of need and merit.

In the 2004/2005 program year, Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation bursaries were distributed to eligible students in conjunction with the B.C. loan reduction program, as loan reduction credits to be paid at the end of the school year.

The Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation is conducting nation-wide consultations on changes to the bursary program, beginning in the 2005-2006 program year.

For more information on loan reduction, visit the B.C. loan reduction program page.
