Adult basic education student assistance program

This provincial program helps adults enrolled in skills upgrading, education and training courses such as:

• Adult Basic Education (academic upgrading)
• Adult Special Education
• English as a second language

The program provides grants to help meet direct educational costs including tuition fees, books, supplies and if applicable, transportation and unsubsidized childcare costs. The amount awarded to you is based on a standard need-assessment procedure.

How to apply

You can only apply to this program if you are an adult attending a public post secondary institution in B.C.

An application form [284kb] must be completed and returned to the financial aid office at your institution, who will determine if you qualify.
