Steering Committee
The agreement establishes a steering committee with representation from the two ministries; the British Columbia Council on Admissions and Transfer and public universities, colleges, university colleges and institutes. The committee, which developed the the terms of reference for the project:
- Determines the policy-related research questions that will guide analysis of the data exchanged under the agreement.
- Determines how the parties to the agreement can use the data, and who can use it.
- Assesses third-party requests for access to the aggregate data. Aggregate data does not contain personal information.
- Establishes timelines, methods and procedures for exchange of the data.
- Reviews all reports resulting from analysis of the data.
- Ensures that any personal information exchanged is transmitted in a safe manner, and that there is compliance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
