The British Columbia Institute of Technology builds pathways for career success in the global marketplace. With campuses in Burnaby, North Vancouver, Richmond and Vancouver, BCIT delivers full-time and part-time courses of study leading to certificates, diplomas and degrees in technologies, trades, business and health sciences. BCIT also conducts applied research, technology transfer activities, and corporate and industry training and upgrading.

The Justice Institute of B.C.'s mandate encompasses education and training in the areas of criminal and social justice, public safety and social services, making British Columbia's communities safer places to live. The Justice Institute’s programs and services help develop operational skills needed by police officers, firefighters, correctional and probation officers, deputy sheriffs and paramedics. Other programs include conflict resolution, volunteer search and rescue, emergency management, victim services and counselling and professional driver training. Its main campus is in New Westminster, 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver, with other campuses in Maple Ridge and Victoria. The Justice Institute's educational programs and services are delivered to government agencies, community organizations, private corporations and the public.
