MITACS Globalink Welcomes India June 25, 2009, Minister Moira Stilwell and Arvind Gupta, Scientific Director of the Mathematics of Information Technology and Complex Systems (MITACS) celebrate the MITACS Globalink Program created in part to attract leading talent to B.C. and to raise awareness in India about B.C.’s research excellence and industrial leadership. Seventeen of India’s brightest undergraduate students are spending the summer in British Columbia at UBC, UVIC or SFU, taking part in a quantitative sciences research internship under the supervision of a faculty member. |
