Overview
British Columbia’s community adult literacy program is supported by the Ministry of Advanced Education and Labour Market Development.
Funds are used for community-based program delivery, regional literacy co-ordination and provincewide services provided by Literacy BC. Projects must be in partnership with a public post-secondary institution (college, university college, institute or Thompson Rivers University).
Applications are reviewed by provincial government officials. Recommendations for funding are made by an advisory external review committee made up of literacy practitioners, administrators and students from public post-secondary institutions, school districts and community groups.
Please make sure all components of the application are included when you submit it so your proposal can be considered for review.
