Adult Education - The ministry offers adult education programs through B.C. public post-secondary institutions to meet the needs of adults who are not ready to enter directly into an academic or career program at the post-secondary level. These programs offer English as a second language, adult special education, adult basic education and workplace essential skills.
Adult Literacy - The provincial government funds community organizations that help adults improve their literacy and numeracy skills. Education Quality Assurance - EQA
Education Quality Assurance is British Columbia’s brand for quality post-secondary education institutions. It is a voluntary mechanism available to all public and private post-secondary institutions in the province, allowing students to easily see which institutions have met government recognized quality assurance standards. 
Immigration - WelcomeBC provides information for newcomers including English language courses to employment, health, education and recreation services.
Industry Training - Industry training provides comprehensive information on trades training in B.C., beginning with general information on industry training, with links to specific sections of the Industry Training Authority’s website.
International Education - B.C. welcomes international students and the important opportunity for new learning and sharing experiences that they bring to our province. Information is provided for international students wanting to study in British Columbia and domestic students wanting to study abroad.
International Qualifications Program - The International Qualifications Program helps eliminate barriers to employment facing internationally trained professionals and trades persons in B.C.
Provincial Nominee Program - The B.C. Provincial Nominee Program offers accelerated immigration for qualified skilled workers and experienced entrepreneurs who wish to settle in B.C. and become permanent residents of Canada.
Skills Connect - The Skills Connect for Immigrants Program helps new immigrants secure jobs that fully use their skills, knowledge and experience. The program responds to current and long-term skill shortages by assessing and bridging skilled immigrants into the workplace in areas with a focus on five key sectors of the economy: construction, transportation, energy, and tourism/hospitality and the health sector. |
