Private and Out-of-Province Public Institutions - Degree Programs Review Criteria

Under the Degree Authorization Act, the Minister of Advanced Education and Labour Market Development is responsible for establishing and publishing criteria that apply for the purposes of giving or refusing consent, or attaching terms and conditions to consent.

Criteria and Guidelines

The following criteria and guidelines are in effect for new submissions for approval of new degree programs or renewal of consent beginning Dec. 11, 2006. These guidelines have been developed in consultation with post-secondary system stakeholders and the Degree Quality Assessment Board.
