Canadian Council on Learning Question Scans and Literature Reviews
The ministry is working in partnership with the Canadian Council on Learning to develop policy-related research that will inform post-secondary education policy and planning.
The council is a national, non-profit organization founded by the federal government, with a unique mandate to work with all Canadian governments in the areas of educational policy, performance measures and quality standards. The council has developed question scans (similar to annotated bibliographies) and literature reviews on policy-related research questions defined by the ministry.
- Question scans are an exploratory tool to gauge the volume of literature in a field and summarize the main observations contained in the body of literature.
- Literature reviews are comprehensive surveys of previously published literature in a specific field of study or related to particular question scan topics.
The question scans and literature reviews are divided into categories and can be accessed from the menu at left. |
