Special Services/Equipment Available to Students
- assistance with registration and placement testing;
- assistance in accessing specialized materials or equipment (e.g. taped books), computer equipment Student-Aiding-Student support (e.g. readers, note takers, library research, etc.)
- exam accommodations where recommended;
- liaison with and referral to other agencies where required for assessment, financial support, etc.;
- liaison services with instructors; and
- transition planning.

- Contact the Office of Services for Students with Disabilities.
- Students who indicate their disability on the College application form will be contacted.
- It is strongly recommended that students contact the College 6 to 8 months in advance.
Programs

The Port Alberni campus provides courses for students with intellectual impairments and mental health disabilities. The program consists of a part-time program, courses in employment-related skills, and individualized modules in personal development, consumer and vocational skills. Course offerings are determined by community demand and change from year to year.
The Comox Valley campus offers courses for students with intellectual impairments and mental health disabilities including individualized modules in personal development, consumer and vocational skills, and part-time courses in employment-related skills. Course offerings are determined by community demand.
The Campbell River campus offers a full-time Employment Transition program or individualized modules in personal development, consumer and vocational skills for students with intellectual impairments and mental health disabilities. The specific program to be offered each year will be determined by community demand.
