How to Access Disability Services
Contact Disability Services for an intake appointment by the posted deadline to allow adequate time to arrange appropriate support services and accommodations.
Disability Services will determine and facilitate appropriate support services and accommodations on a case-by-case basis based upon appropriate medical documentation and in consultation with the student.
Some of the Services Provided to Students with Documented Disabilities
- facilitate access to college courses, programs, and services for students who meet the course/program requirements.
- academic advising with regard to disability issues and/or appropriate referral.
- access to Adaptive Technology Lab in the library equipped with specialized computers and software.
- assist with applications for government special programs, if eligible.
- exam accommodations (e.g. extra-time, separate setting, alternate format), if required.
- classroom accommodations (e.g. Notetakers, Interpreters), if required.
- alternate format for course materials (e.g. audio textbooks, e-text), if required.
- referrals to appropriate community agencies and College departments.
